So so impressed by our Mules today – the heat was relentless all day and was 30+ degrees for most of the afternoon but they all kept going and everyone made it to the hotel.
Did have a concerning amount of stretching this morning, the obligatory trip to the bike shop and one shredded back wheel.
The pool was a bit of a hit – fair number of people went straight in in their cycling kit!
Dinner with a fabulous view and the almost end of tour court session.
Can’t believe it’s the last full day of cycling today!

Morning from Chinon!

Believe me Tom does not deserve to look this good this morning….

Looks dangerously like Cam is stretching

Team Domestique first off the line this morning

Shortly followed by Ray’s crew

Rohais Rough Riders not wanting to get tan lines….didn’t quite work out for Tom!

Can’t hold the speedy boys back any longer!

Even Mike’s having a stretch – can tell it’s day four

Keeley getting some running repairs

What’s going on??

Our fabulous crew! L-R:Stuart, Natalie, Nico, Val, Rick, Sally, Peter, Chesi, Joe and Steve

The Dream Team is getting bigger every day – 13 today!

Pretty nice start to the day out of Chinon

Don’t get between a man and packing 150 litres of water into a car…

First of many chateau

Off from the coffee stop

One of many stunning views today

The speedy boys are too fast and got to lunch before the crew so we put them to work. They’re liking the gloves far too much….

Can we just stay under the trees??

Coffee stop for 80 and 100 milers….Loches

Finally caught the speedy boys up!

Very much deserved!

Cooling down approach 1

It was so hot the tarmac was starting to melt…

Cooling down approach two!

The pool went down rather well today!

After Ray had been in the pool in all his cycling kit!

Dinner with a view

Paula and Keeley v Kiwi

Pegs!

Time for a few toasts to all our Mules who have ridden the furthest they’ve ever ridden before and for four days in a row. Pretty much everyone in the room!

Court session – with Shelley in the chair appeal was futile…

Hackers fine…enough said…

It’s a monster jelly baby of course
