Mule Loire
MULE LOIRE, VENTURE THROUGH THE VINEYARDS
16th to 22th June 2018
Mule Loire was the third charity ride staged by Only Fools and Donkeys following Mule Bretagne in 2014 and Mule Normandie in 2016. The three rides have raised over £118,000, all of which has remained on the Island to support local charities.

THE CHALLENGE
The 2018 ride was the biggest to date with 55 riders, 10 crew and an extra day of cycling making it a six rather than five day trip.
As in previous years the cyclists had a choice a 55/60 or 80/85 mile route each day and for the very keen we added a 100 mile option!
After a quick stop off in Jersey – don’t worry our Mules still rode there! – we started our adventure in Vannes and travelled along the Loire through Nantes, Angers, Chinon and Amboise before finishing at Chateau Chambord just outside Orleans.
