Training all behind us and we’re ready to go – apart from those that were later and personally fined by the Governor.
Great start and a roll down the hill to the ferry for the calmest crossing in Channel Islands history with 35 very excited people trying not to drink (and some failing). Nothing can possibly go wrong now!!
So, there we were in St Malo and the riding started for real. Everyone managed to negotiate their way through St Malo ok – but then Linda decided to take on a car and lost. Woman down and the crew grows by one.
Dinner in Dinan was spectacular down on the river and the beers were flowing after. Luckily the barman called time at 1am otherwise we may have still been there. Everyone hydrated for the first big day ahead.
